As the 2010's started to gain momentum, Frank Ocean was gaining traction as one of the biggest up and comers of his generation. While the R&B scene was still seeped in the craze of artists like Beyonce, Ocean's Channel Orange and his features on Watch the Throne by Jay Z and Kanye West proved that he could hold his own with the greatest in the game. However, things have been a bit quiet after the midpoint of the decade.

Though Frank ended up gracing us with one of his most intimate records on Blonde, everything he's released since then has just been a few guest appearances here and there. Maybe it's just his inability to commit to one certain project, but the fact that we were able to get a standalone song from him on Kanye's the Life of Pablo just whetted the fans appetite for more soulful beauty.

Granted, Frank has always been the kind of artist who puts a lot of love and care into his work, so the wait may in fact be him just diligently working to make sure he reaches the perfection he wants. Anything Frank Ocean puts out will be worth the wait for fans, but it anyone's guess as to whether we will even see it in this next decade.
