10 Musicians Who Should Release More Music

7. Rage Against the Machine

As the '90s angst reached its apex, no one had as much anger as Rage Against the Machine. Complete with the fierce riffs of Tom Morello and the hard-edged lyrical structure of Zack de la Rocha, these songs became like weaponized calls of resistance against every corrupt political leader at the time. Even though the band had long since broken up, this new decade remains hopeful for a return to the Rage-filled glory.

Though the band members have been active in their own ways, side projects like Audioslave and Prophets of Rage only just made us eager to hear more from the original Rage that we fell in love with back in the '90s. On the other hand, the band's decision to reunite in 2021 has perked some fans' interests, but nothing was more encouraging than hearing Zack de la Rocha's feature on Run the Jewels' "JU$T" this year. Even though it's only for a brief few seconds, Zack hasn't lost an ounce of fury in the past 2 decades, leading many to believe that new music might be on the horizon.

It might seem like a longshot now, but the idea of Rage Against the Machine coming together to make music again might be the shot in the arm that we need. In these troubled political times, Rage's harsh sonic assault is needed now more than ever.
