10 Musicians Who Should Release More Music

6. Lauryn Hill

It seemed like such a simpler time for Lauryn Hill back in 1998. After successfully distancing herself from the Fugees, the release of the Miseducation of Lauryn Hill sent her into the top tier of entertainers, earning her several Grammys and making her a musical force to be reckoned with. It was fun while it lasted, but there's no way we could have seen just how long we'd have to wait to capitalize on it.

As of this writing, Ms. Hill has still never released a proper follow-up to her solo debut, outside of the somewhat fractured live release of her performance on MTV Unplugged. Many may attribute this to her more erratic behavior and complicated relationship with the press, but the woman still has more sonic fire in her soul than most other acts could muster. Granted, Hill may cancel gigs left and right, but the fact that she can still deliver her big hits today shows that she is still taking care of her craft.

While she has had a few collaborative experiences with artists like John Legend and Pusha T, not having a proper Lauryn Hill album in over 2 decades stings so much more considering the caliber of performances she gives. Lauryn Hill might still be on her A-game to this day, but can someone just keep her a little closer to the studio?
