10 Musicians Who Should Release More Music

2. Tool

Every once in a while you have a band that is so good that the Earth seems to stop when you first hear their music. Though Tool were quickly gaining traction as a decent metal act in the '90s, their output with Lateralus and 10,000 Days marked them as one of those bands you get once every lifetime. The band did end up touring for the records, but it seemed like they were locked out of the studio for the foreseeable future.

Though the metalheads' prayers were answered last year with the release of Fear Inoculum, it's imperative that Tool not stay out of the limelight for too much longer. The band may have just not been in the right headspace to make a record, but watching some of the greatest prog rock minds in the world tour and not try to capitalize on their collaborative talents drove many fans up the wall.

Signs have been pointing towards the band being more active, with Maynard James Keenan also starting up A Perfect Circle once again, but hopefully this initial magic will stick around for just a few more records. Separation makes the heart grow fonder, but this torturous initial wait time is something that no metalhead should have to endure again.
