10 Often Forgotten Nu Metal Bands

9. Nonpoint

Nonpoint are one of the later starters on this, coming about around the advent of the genre in 1997. But that hasn't stopped them rising to a moderate degree of success in the intervening years.

Of course, banging out a decent cover of Phil Collins' "In the Air Tonight" doesn't hurt either.

Yet the Floridians have hit more success with the extreme sports crowd. Although late in the genre's years, their hit single Bullet With a Name featured the soundtrack to WWE Smackdown vs. Raw 2007.

Far from being one (or two) hit wonders, Nonpoints are still going strong to this day. A dozen albums under their belt, with 2005's To The Pain arguably the one that drove them into the limelight.

With singles like Bullet, as well as Alive & Kicking, it was a strong offering at the back end of a genre that had already seen the greats rise from it. Credit where it's due though, as it hasn't deterred Nonpoint from ploughing on to this date.
