10 One-Hit Wonder Bands From The 90s That Still Rock

2. Eve 6

http://youtu.be/T8Xb_7YDroQ Biggest Hit: Inside Out (1998) While it€™s difficult to deny the ridiculously catchy nature of "Inside Out," it also overshadowed one of the greatest pop-rock albums of the decade. Eve 6's self-titled debut had more grit than most of their contemporaries, with a raucous energy that was still very accessible and equally addictive. Lead singer Max Collins had a sharp wit and rapid-fire delivery that gave us some of the most clever wordplay and intensely-syllabic lyrics of the genre. A couple years later, Eve 6 would have another monstrous pop-rock hit on their hands with "Here's to the Night," an ode that was just behind Green Day's "Time of Your Life" when it came to being blared at school dances and graduation assemblies. At this point, a giant lightbulb should be going off to alert you that, "Oh right, they actually had two hits, didn't they?" They also popped up a few years later with It's All In Your Head, their finest album to date. Sadly, lead single "Think Twice" didn't catch on and the album sold poorly, leading to a lengthy hiatus that would last until 2011. But they came back hard with Speak In Code, a stellar monument representing why there will always be a place in the world for Eve 6. They've adapted some of the DIY aesthetics of OK Go since their return, even doing a "one-take" video for the super anthemic "Curtain," which might be the best pop-rock song of the last five years.
