10 One-Hit Wonder Bands From The 90s That Still Rock

http://youtu.be/f46ulX6uwGc The Big Hit: All For You (1997) In a sea of upbeat, light-hearted pop-rock, it was easy to get lost in the shuffle in 1997, which is exactly what happened to Sister Hazel and their hit "All For You." Though their album ...Somewhere More Familiar sported another near-hit, "Happy," it wasn't as memorable for the general public. And to be fair, ...Somewhere More Familiar is Sister Hazel's least cohesive album to date, so people buying the record looking for another "All For You" were likely disappointed in the style and quality of the album. This helps explain why Sister Hazel is widely regarded as a "one-hit wonder," but it doesn't excuse it. Because flash forward fifteen years and it's difficult to find a Sister Hazel album that isn't mostly terrific. Their follow-up to ...Somewhere More Familiar, 2000's Fortress, helped cement the band's sound for years to come, dabbling in just about every style imaginable while still managing to produce some tight rock music. Effortlessly gliding between pop-rock, country, and the kind of folk-rock that bands like O.A.R. and Guster thrive on, Sister Hazel has been pumping out a solid collection of albums all throughout the 2000s. Their most recent, Heartland Highway, amps up the country and Southern rock vibes significantly. If that scares you, don't worry, there are still traces of "All For You" to be found as well.
