10 Perfect 1990s Rock Albums With No Bad Songs

7. Weezer - Weezer

As fun as it may have seemed in the heyday of grunge, the mid '90s is when things started to get a little too real. Since the leader of our generation had committed suicide in 1994, the rest of the rock world wasn't necessarily ready to move on to something else just yet. Once we found the time though, a good portion of the rock scene found their calling from a couple of nerds with loud guitars.

Then again, when you put Weezer's colorful debut album against the other amazing albums of the time, it's not necessarily the most "important." When a lot of people were talking about inner turmoil, a lot of these songs are just fun little power pop songs about what it's like to be a starry eyed kid dreaming of being a rock star. But believe me, at a time when everything was dour, we really needed something like this to let us know it wasn't all bad.

The real key behind Weezer's debut is just how accessible it is, with many people probably picking up guitars and starting to learn how to play them by banging their way through a song like Buddy Holly in their garage. The journey of a rock star wasn't going to be easy, but if these nerds could pull it off, then why not you too?
