10 Perfect Heavy Metal Songs To Listen To When You're Angry

2. Limp Bizkit - Break Stuff

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZpUYjpKg9KY Limp Bizkit are a divisive band among most fans of heavy metal because of the hip-hop spin they put on the genre in the late 90's but nothing can dispute the infectious rage displayed on the self destructive Break Stuff. From the band's most consistent effort, Significant Other, it remains a shining metal beacon for fans of the more aggressive side of the genre. The song largely consists of vicious threats directed at just about anyone who might hear them courtesy of frontman Fred Durst and a venomous two chord guitar riff from guitarist Wes Borland, creating a vicious double pronged attack. What the band lack in technical ability, they make up for in sheer intent with a party vibe not commonly present in songs of its nature. The song's lack of melody is also one of its strengths with the focus remaining on the hard hitting down tuned guitars and confrontational vocals. As a band with many highs and lows throughout their career, this thumper is definitely in the career highlight bracket. If this one doesn't make you want to tear up you're living room, nothing will. Breakthrough anthem for the rap-metal act, showing not just their aggression but also their knack for writing a catchy ditty. Angriest Lyric: "And if my day keeps goin' this way I just might, break your f**kin' face tonight!"
