From the 1993 album Chaos A.D, Refuse/Resist is the best showcase of what made the four piece a force to be reckoned with in the metal world whilst simultaneously introducing their Brazilian influences to a western audience (among the first to incorporate world music into the genre). From the off it's clear they are a band who wear their heritage on their sleeve with primitive tribal drumming opening proceedings before launching into an explosive cocktail of pummeling drums and and low end heavy riffs.
