10 Perfect Heavy Metal Songs To Listen To When You're Angry

1. Slipknot - People = S**t

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u6ZtHrWiSAk The masters of nihilism and all things doomy hit their brutal peak in 2001 with their second album Iowa, providing the metal soundtrack of a generation and maybe the heaviest album to reach Number 1 on the UK Album Charts, upon release. 'Left Behind' may have been the lead single from the album but it would be the album's opening track that would truly display the chaotic extremes the band would go to. The stark wasteland People = S**t was the epitome of the genre in terms of intense hatred and frustration at just about everything and everyone. Musically it hits a uniquely frenzied note even for Slipknot with guitars, turntables, drums and whatever else the masked madmen decide to throw at you, creating a hellish, impenetrable wall of sound. Talisman and lead singer Corey Taylor goes from erratic to angry to depressed, all at once seemingly, creating an unpredictability heard in the instruments aswell. The schizophrenic movements of the song give way to the chorus and the naked cries of Taylor as he screams the title as loud as he can without a care for his voice. The song is an indicator that this is a band without preservation and only one goal - to create the most pissed off music humanly possible. Well done boys. From the dark masterpiece Iowa, Slipknot pulverize their opposition with this anti-human monstrosity. Angriest Lyric: "Everybody hates me now so f**k it, blood's on my face and my hands, don't know why, I'm not afraid to cry but that's none of your business! Any we missed out on?
