10 Perfect Metal Albums With ZERO Bad Songs

7. Screaming for Vengeance - Judas Priest

Once the '80s really took over in full force, the death knell had been sounded for most of the proto metal bands. Although you still had acts like Sabbath making waves with Ronnie behind the mic on Heaven and Hell, the days of Led Zeppelin and Deep Purple's reign of the charts clocks out right when the '80s start. At a time when the New Wave of British Heavy Metal was about to kick into gear, Judas Priest astounded the masses by making their greatest album in years.

Being just a few years after British Steel was released upon the public, Screaming for Vengeance saw the band going even further into new territory, taking inspiration from bands like Iron Maiden and getting even heavier with age. From the opening notes of the guitar intro The Hellion, there is absolutely no let up on this album.

As much as Judas Priest has their own sound and sticks with it, there's also a lot more eclectic stuff on here than your average metal album, from the midtempo stomp on Bloodstone to the singalong of You've Got Another Thing Comin to the borderline thrash sound of Riding on the Wind. While Judas Priest have definitely had peaks and valleys throughout their career, this is the album that fans point to as reason why they never lose the faith.
