10 Perfect Rap Rock Albums With No Bad Songs

5. Ill Communication - Beastie Boys (1994)

You were starting to wonder if the Beastie Boys would make an appearance on this list, weren't you. They might not have been the first group to combine rap and rock, but they were one of the best. Although the group started off as a punk rock act, they soon began incorporating more and more elements of hip hop into their sound. Their fourth album saw their most accomplished effort to combine rock, hip hop and rap into a concise flow of songs.

As soon as the opening flute sample on, Sure Shot, slips through your sound system, you know what time it is. The New York trio then embark on their signature approach of alternating verses, spat with all the bratty sneer of youth. The next few tracks only tease what's to come: with verses filled with pop culture reference; classic '90s hip hop beats; the odd bit of guitar, and all round good times.

After around 12 minutes of pure enjoyment, your hit with the opening guitar riff to Sabotage - the seminole rap rock track of the '90s. By the time the bass rips into that unmistakable revving engine riff, you're in for the ride. You're then faced with another 30 plus minutes of equally enjoyable and ever classic rap rock jams.
