10 Perfect Rock Albums Ruined By One Bad Song

1. Seamus - Pink Floyd

Anyone who had been following Pink Floyd since the Syd Barrett days were probably used to expecting the unexpected on their albums. While being on the cusp of albums like Dark Side of the Moon and the Wall, Meddle was the first taste of what the more ambitious side of Floyd was going to be, with Echoes being the prime candidate for the first epic Pink Floyd song. It's just a shame that before we got there, we had to deal with Seamus being let out of his cage.

Aside from one fatal flaw, this is actually not that bad of a song, with the backing track being a nice little slice of blues rock coming from David Gilmour. Your standard bluesy jam isn't going to fly for a prog rock album though, so the rest of the song involves a dog barking over the rest of the instruments, which makes for a drastic shift in tone whenever it comes on.

Every time you feel like you're starting to enjoy the song, you have this little dog coming in to disrupt everything and giving you a headache more and more. Whereas Pink Floyd has always been known to be on the eccentric side, this marks the moment where that zany attitude starts to actively take away from the music they're making.
