10 Perfect Rock Bands With Two Lead Singers

9. Queen

There are probably a good portion of fans who are wondering why Queen is even an entry in this list. Sure, there may have been some great singers in the band, but if you have Freddie Mercury in your musical arsenal, why the hell would you want to use anybody else? As much as the name would imply otherwise, these rock monarchs were always more of a democracy when it came time to get behind the mic.

While we will exclude the sheepish John Deacon on bass guitar, both Roger Taylor and Brian May had a unique quality to their voices as well that Freddie may not have been as equipped for. Being a much more raspy singer, Roger brought the rock and roll spirit to each song he sang, especially when he had cuts like I'm In Love With My Car. Ever the gentleman though, Brian May was a much more delicate singer, always having a support role and bringing a more natural quality to every song that he took the lead on.

If you know anything about Queen though, the magic always came when they harmonized with each other, putting layers upon layers of audio into the mix to do every genre from gospel to rock to full on heavy metal style throwdowns. At a time when rock and roll was all about the star frontman, Queen practically had a 3 man choir at their disposal when they entered the studio.
