10 Perfect Rock Bands With Two Lead Singers
7. Oasis
If there's one thing that Oasis is going to be remembered for years down the line, it's the rivalry that comes between the two brothers. Before the Beatles worship and before Wonderwall taking the world by storm, the image of the Gallagher Brothers hating each other has always seemed to trump some of the band's best moments in the limelight. Then again, it's sometimes that tension that makes the records that much more magical.
Although there are two singers in this band, it's clear that Liam is the true rock star of the group, having that same attitude to blow the doors off the hinges from the minute he opens his mouth. As much as he may just stand still on stage, it's all about putting the most power in his body to let loose, whether that be on the slower songs like I'm Outta Time or going for broke on Supersonic.
Noel is the writer of the songs though, and if something hits that close to home, you were going to see him take on the song himself, earning him the distinction of being the voice behind Don't Look Back In Anger, Talk Tonight, and The Importance of Being Idle. On the rare occasion though, the brothers' duets would be otherworldly, giving you two distinct vocal sounds for the price of one. The Gallaghers always used to brag about being in the greatest band in the world, and when you heard them sing, you weren't going to doubt that for a second.
