10 Perfect Rock Bands With Two Lead Singers

5. Linkin Park

The entire nu metal movement offered a pretty difficult job for every one of their vocalists. As far as your delivery was concerned, you have to somehow be good at both sides of the coin, being able to both rap reasonably well along with giving some of the most visceral performances when you were singing or screaming. It always felt like bands were sacrificing one for the other, so it was only a matter of time before someone found the best of both worlds.

Around the time when the genre was supposed to be dying out, Linkin Park hit the ceiling with both Chester Bennington and Mike Shinoda at the helm. Having an almost symbiotic chemistry with one another, Chester always functioned as the ideal foil to Mike, picking up the rap verses with some of the most primal screams imaginable on songs like Given Up and A Place for My Head.

Aside from the screams, Chester could also sing extremely well, with the tender side of his voice showing the human underneath it all. By the time the band decided to shed their nu metal skin later down the line, Mike also managed to step outside of his comfort zone on a few occasions, with songs like In Between being completely led by his singing. As far as nu metal concerned, Linkin Park is the ideal example of having two singers that were willing to grow into something much bigger than themselves.
