10 Perfect Rock Music Songs That Were Inspired By The Beatles

3. All Around the World - Oasis

There's a good chance that you thought Oasis were going to be on this list long before you even clicked on this link. The Gallagher Brothers do have genuine talent behind them, but they certainly owe their career to the sounds of Lennon and McCartney, from the nasal whine of Liam's voice to Noel's songwriting being filled with Beatles references like namedropping songs on D'You Know What I Mean. Since they were officially the biggest band in the world at the time of Be Here Now, Noel figured that it was time to unveil his answer to Hey Jude on All Around the World.

Looking at the construction of the tune, the whole thing feels like Noel is trying for that epic sound that Paul had gotten on the back half of Hey Jude, creating a sing along chorus that let us all know that everything is going to be okay. There's definitely a strong melody to this song, but Noel might go a little too over the top here, trying to match the power of the Beatles by shoehorning in every single thing he can, from Liam adding na na nas in the mix to the band changing keys twice in the outro before everything begins fading out.

This entire song is a spectacle to listen to on its own, but when you wait through the full 9 minutes though, you start to see how little meat is on its bones. Hey Jude may have had the gradual build that led to the singalong break at the end, but Noel sounds like he wrote the singalong bit and then just tried to fill out the rest of the song as best he could.
