While the 2000s were filled with fresh-faced, new acts making their mark on the world of music, a number of veteran rockers were still churning out the good stuff. Although they were almost twenty years into their career at this point, the Chili Peppers really hit their stride in the new century. Californication (1999) saw the return of John Fruciante on the guitar, kick starting a new period for the group.

With the release of By The Way (2002) they developed a more melodic and refined style. But, the behemoth double album, Stadium Arcadium (2006), was the high water mark of their career.
