10 Perfect Rock Singles Of The 2000s

4. Foo Fighters: All My Life (2002)

When it came to alternative rock in the early 2000s, post-grunge was the phrase on everybody's lips. And no one carried the energy of grunge into the new decade with as much impassioned skill as Foo Fighters. Dave Grohl was the unexpected frontmen the world didn't know it needed. From drumming in one of the most influential groups of the '90s, to fronting one of the biggest acts in music, Grohl has become a musical forced to be reckoned with.

One by One was the group's fourth album. Among others, it contained the sing-along classic Times Like These, and the filthy post-grunge number Low, but it was the lead single that cemented the group as one of the saving graces of hard rock in the 2000s. If you're ever been blessed to see Foo Fighters live, this is the track that gets everybody bouncing, no matter their musical predilections.

In recent years, Foo Fighters' propensity for releasing huge singles might have tittered out somewhat; they still come out with the odd banger, but they're not really pushing boundaries anymore. But with a musical back catalogue as rich as this, they've more than proved themselves.
