10 Perfect Rock Songs That Divided Rock Bands
2. Go Your Own Way - Fleetwood Mac
Nearly half of the track listing of Rumours could have easily gone on this list. Since most of Fleetwood Mac's masterpiece revolves around the fallout that was happening between both romantic relationships in the band, it's clear that not everyone was getting along great at the sessions or anything. If you're looking for the saltiest one though, it would probably have to go to Lindsey Buckingham's Go Your Own Way.
Given the fallout between him and Stevie Nicks at the time, most of the song is nothing but Lindsey talking trash about how Stevie is being standoffish and how she was never in love with him to begin with. While we do get Stevie's side of the story on songs like Dreams, having to sing the background harmonies for a song like this is probably not the best thing you could be doing.
Then again, if you were in one of the biggest rock bands of all time, would you want to be involved in a song that talks about how much of a piece of sh*t you are? Yeah, the holes are present pretty quickly here, especially when the producer talked about Stevie just absent mindedly playing her tambourine when recording the song. Although this kind of tension created magic, it's probably not the healthiest relationship to be in.
