10 Phenomenal Female Guitarists That Deserve Your Attention In 2013

5. Tara Mcleod

Rsz Tara Tara Mcleod, and Kittie as a whole, have had a hard time as a band. Despite their massive and dedicated following, even my teenage self-made fun of their angsty songs and gothic style (despite wearing a lot of oversized black clothes with chains, and finding no problem in listening to the likes of Marilyn Manson or Linkin Park). Mcleod is one of the more underrated guitarists, in the mainstream at least, as her solos are pure classic metal, and as previously mentioned, quite inspirational in encouraging young talent like Leah Woodward to pick up a guitar. Mcleod really knows the worth in a good, classically rocking solo, and has no problem with pulling them out of the bag. She was spotted by Kittie's manager who asked her to audition for the band, and well, aren't we glad that she did. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eZbk0Uu_aEQ

Fan of Taylor Swift and the Dead Kennedys (a duet I can only dream of). I like dystopias, slasher films, and video games that make me feel things.
