10 Punk Bands That Released 5 Great Albums In A Row

6. Fall Out Boy

Whether you agree that Fall Out Boy are punk or not, they’re one of the most influential and important bands in modern alternative music. They formed out of a love for hardcore punk, they are the starting point that gets most young people into heavier stuff... and can you really listen to their early material and still disagree?

Before their initial breakup, Fall Out Boy released their first studio album in 2003 called Take This to Your Grave, full of charm, attitude, fun and so much chorus, they wrote the formula they then perfected on their classic album From Under the Cork Tree in 2005. Continuing this trend of writing albums that are basically greatest hits in themselves, the band released Infinity on High (2007) and Folie à Deux (2008) before eventually splitting up.

Ending on perhaps the most controversial addition to the catalogue, 2013's comeback album Save Rock and Roll closes the five-album run. Here’s the thing about the album, it’s packed with massive rock songs and somehow has ushered in yet another style of modern pop-punk.

For better or worse nobody does it quite like Fall Out Boy.
