10 Punk Bands You Need To See Before You're Boring

7. The Interrupters

The youngest band on this list, The Interrupters, started up in 2011 and have released three studio albums since then. Hailing from Los Angeles, The band have had a busy touring schedule, supporting bands such as Rancid, Less Than Jake, Reel Big Fish and The Mighty Mighty Bosstones.

Touring with such royalty helped build a cult following, but The Interrupters have had their biggest breakthrough this year. Having spent the summer of 2019 touring on Punk in Drublic, Slam Dunk, Download and numerous European festivals, it’s hard to go anywhere in the UK and EU punk scene at the moment without hearing their name be brought up.

With every song in their discography being infectiously catchy and melodic, The Interrupters are reminiscent of a female-fronted Rancid. Not a statement that should be made lightly.

Their recent successes have led to the announcement of a 2020 headline tour across the UK. Some of these very reasonably priced shows have needed their venues to be upgraded, due to such a high demand for tickets. The Interrupters are going from strength to strength at the moment and it would be an absolute sin to miss them when they come back at the start of next year.
