9 Reasons To Love Arctic Monkeys

3. The B-sides

arctic-monkeys2011 No one really does b-sides anymore, do they? Not like they used to, anyway. They're not quite so needed in the digital world, given that you only download the songs you want, but that doesn't stop the Monkeys. Arctic Monkeys have featured close friends Richard Hawley and Miles Kane on their b-sides, and they've even shot videos for some of them. They've consistently released them and consistently played them: Live DVD 'At The Apollo' features three. It's a sharp contrast to some bands that include a live track or a remix, and you can tell that the band care about every song they record. Even their Live Lounge hits - 'Love Machine', 'You Know I'm No Good' and 'Katy On a Mission' seem to have a bit of thought gone into them, even if 'Love Machine' sounds like Matt and Alex basically singing karaoke.

There are acoustic versions of their tracks on YouTube too; fans have put together a bootleg album entitled 'Straighten the Rudder'. Check it out!
