10 Rock Albums That Peak With The Final Song

7. Who’s Next - The Who

There's a case for the opening song on this album also being its peak, but that will ultimately come down to personal preference.

Baba O'Reilly - aka, the song One Direction shamelessly ripped off and somehow got away with it - is truly iconic. Roger Daltrey screaming "Teenage Wastelands!" at the top of his little British voice will always be a great rock moment, but how can you ignore the gigantic track that is Won't Get Fooled Again?

Originally released as a single in June of 1971, the full eight-and-a-half minute edition of this song squeezed its way onto the end of the album Who's Next released later that year.

In a similar vein to Baba O'Reilly, the song envisions a world where the youth of the world rise up against the older generations. Only it has that scream from Daltrey in it.

You know the one.

It's such a tight call, as both songs are legendary, but Won't Get Fooled Again is ever so slightly better than the tune Harry Styles pinched about a decade ago.

If only Baba O'Reilly had been the theme song to a series of CSI. Things could have been so different.
