10 Rock Artists That Had Hit Albums Over A Decade Apart

8. Meat Loaf - 13 Years

In 1977, Meat "Michael Aday" Loaf changed the world when he released Bat Out of Hell.

His debut record went on to become one of the best-selling albums of all time and made Mr. Loaf a household name. One thing it did not do, though, was crack the US top ten.

Yes, for all it's accolades and continued popularity, Bat Out of Hell only reached a high of 13 in the United States.

That's insane.

To find Meaty Boy's first American top ten, we have to look to another album bearing that name.

Bat Out of Hell II: Back into Hell came out in 1993 and launched the operatic rocker back into everyone's hearts and minds. Thanks to songs like I'd Do Anything for Love (But I Won't Do That), the sequel topped the US charts in a long-overdue moment.

It would take another 13 years after this for Meat Loaf to return to the US top ten. Guess what the album was called... that's right, it was Bat Out of Hell III: The Monster Is Loose!

Say what you like about the guy, but he certainly knew his audience.
