9. Black Veil Brides
Despite having only been an active band since 2006, Black Veil Brides have already had 16 different members, with vocalist Andy Biersack being the last original member remaining. However, Jake Pitts and Jinxx have both been members since the release of the band’s first album, ‘We Stitch These Wounds’, in 2010. The band hail from Cinnicnati, Ohio, and to date have released six studio albums.
Black Veil Brides receive their fair share of criticism from hardy, old school rock fans which is mainly centred around the band’s look and appeal to a younger audience. The heavy criticism of the band is not restricted to fans though, and has leaked into the ranks of music journalism also. In 2014, Metal Sucks writer Axl Rosenberg said that buying the band’s self-titled album would come ‘with a heavy dose of embarrassment five to ten years from now.’
Generally the band don’t seem to be too bothered by the criticism they receive, and instead continue to attract large crowds at festivals and on their own headline tours alike. Black Veil Brides have not embarked on a full scale tour since 2018 due to the Covid-19 pandemic, but will surely be hitting the road again in the near future.
