10 Rock Bands Who Broke World Records

3. Linkin Park - Most Likes On Facebook For A Music Group

Whilst it might be a wasteland of embarrassing family photos, dodgy political opinions, and Minions memes these days, there was a time where having a strong following on Facebook was essential to anyone in the public eye.

If you were big on Mark Zuckerberg's digital playground, you knew you'd truly made it, with the ultimate form of validation coming from those highly-coveted "likes" on your page.

In 2017, Guinness set out to discover which musical act had the most thumbs up on the big blue site. After months of painstaking research - or, more likely, a few cursory searches on someone's lunch break - they found that the answer was Linkin Park.

Nu metal's finest came top of the heap with 61,774,733 Facebook Likes as of May 2017. This granted them the title of "Most Likes on Facebook For a Music Group".

Perhaps more than any other record on this list, this one is the most pointless in a modern setting. Still, a win is a win, and it's one more world record than most of us will ever get.
