10 Rock Bands Who Only Have One Original Member Left

8. Guns N Roses

When Guns N Roses first hit the LA rock scene in the late '80s, they truly felt like a band of outlaws. Compared to the more glammified acts coming from the Sunset Strip, these players felt like the epitome of a street gang, willing to lay down their lives for the music they played. Once the family dissolved though, it became impossible to keep track of who was in and out of the group at any given point.

The first real blow came when Steven Adler was let go in the middle of the Use Your Illusion records, with Matt Sorum brought in to replace him. As the tour went on though, Izzy Stradlin's newfound sobriety led to him quitting midway through the tour. Bringing in Gilby Clarke, GNR soldiered on until the end of the Illusion tour cycle, after which Slash, Duff McKagan, and Sorum all quit after not being able to put up with Axl Rose's antics anymore.

Though they have since reunited, the entire '00s era of the group is a virtual who's who of talent, from Buckethead being part of the lineup to Bumblefoot to Robin Finck. The only real constant was Axl himself, who's warped view of reality was too much for anyone to bear for more than a few minutes. While the bad blood may be water under the bridge now, it was downright painful to see the unraveling of the World's Most Dangerous Band once everyone left Axl alone.
