10 Rock Bands With Five Or More Number 1 Albums

9. Linkin Park - 5

Very much contemporaries of Disturbed, Linkin Park also achieved their first number one album on their second attempt, despite their debut being more heralded by fans.

2003's Meteora was coming off the back of the sensational Hybrid Theory from three years earlier, and whilst that record had only peaked at number two, its successor went one better.

The next three Linkin Park albums - Minutes to Midnight, A Thousand Suns, and Living Things - also followed suit, but their run of chart dominance was disrupted when 2014's The Hunting Party only managed to reach number three. Then again, when third place is the worst you've ever done, that's not too shabby.

It wouldn't be until 2017 and the album One More Light that the group finally achieved the quintuplet, thanks in no small part to a star-studded array of guest stars including Pusha T, Kiiara, and Stormzy.

In a bittersweet turn of events, this would turn out to be the final Linkin Park album to feature vocalist Chester Bennington, who died just two months later. The band have been on hiatus ever since, which might make One More Light their last hurrah.
