10 Rock Bands Without Any Original Members Left

8. Quiet Riot

The first group of non-Swedes on this list, Quiet Riot were formed in Los Angeles, California in 1973 by bass player Kelly Garni and Randy Rhoads, the man who would go on to play guitar for Ozzy Osbourne on his Blizzard of Ozz and Diary of a Madman albums.

This hard rock unit made waves by bringing the songs of UK glam metal act Slade to the US, including Cum on Feel the Noize and Mama Weer All Crazee Now. Notice how they didn't attempt to correct any of Slade's spelling errors.

Despite hitting the number one spot with their 1983 album Metal Health, Quiet Riot couldn't keep things stable for long enough to capitalise on any of this momentum.

Garni got the boot for threatening to shoot singer Kevin DuBrow, Rhoads went his own way not long after to focus on his work with Osbourne and, with DuBrow's death in 2007, that was it for the original lineup.

Not to worry, as they haven't let this get them down whatsoever! Quiet Riot are still going today, even if they're a little less riotous now in their old age.
