10 Rock Music Bands With Two Incredible Guitarists
6. Iron Maiden
When it comes to silly, over-the-top metal music, Iron Maiden are always a good shout. Their mascot is a skeleton named Eddie; how much more evidence do you need?
If that doesn't satisfy you, how about the fact that Maiden currently have not one, not two, but three guitarists in their ranks.
Dave Murray has been in the band for the longest time, joining the British deities in 1976. He and bassist Steve Harris are the only musicians to play on every single one of Maiden's records.
After one album with Dennis Stratton on guitar, Murray was joined by Adrian Smith. This would spark the beginning of a beautiful friendship. Murray and Smith's ability to harmonise their work added some musical depth to Maiden's songs. Not only could the band play very fast, they could also play very beautifully as well.
Smith left in 1990, opening the door for Janick Gers to join. Then, in 1999, Smith came back! Whilst Gers is a strong player, the iconic Maiden duo has got to be Murray and Smith. They're the ones responsible for so many classic tracks. Sorry, Janick.
