10 Rock Music Bands With Unique Selling Points

1. Ned Flanders - Okilly Dokilly

Goblins, violins, robots, and dogs; they're all strange, but are they stranger than a group of people dressed up like a cartoon character, playing death metal? Probably not.

Okilly Dokilly formed in 2015 after they noticed the distinct lack of Ned Flanders-themed metal bands in the world and decided to change that.

Decked out in their finest green sweaters and glasses (and with some impressive moustaches on display), the group gained global attention thanks to their striking look and their use of the Simpsons' neighbour's quotes in their song titles.

White Wine Spritzer, Nothing At All, Godspeed Little Doodle; all your favourites are here!

Unfortunately, such a niche idea wasn't sustainable in the long term, and Okilly Dokilly announced they were breaking up in 2022. In their years together, they captured the world's attention with their outlandish performances and even got a guest spot on the TV show that inspired them, appearing over the end credits of The Simpsons episode I'm Just a Girl Who Can't Say D'oh.

Considering how inherently stupid the idea of a metal band centred around a cartoon character is, that is a mightily impressive feat.
