10 Rock Music Collaborations No One Could Have Predicted

4. Alice Cooper & Kesha

I am convinced that the energy contained in the room holding Alice Cooper and Kesha could power the city of Hull for the next twenty years.

Over the years, Cooper has managed to revere himself as one of the most beloved mentalists in rock, despite forging a career steeped in gore, debauchery, and regular beheadings. He would release Welcome 2 My Nightmare in 2011, a sequel 36 years in the making from his 1975 full solo debut and would bring in an all-star cast of ex-Alice Cooper Band members to perform on the album to really bring the spoops in.

Cooper also invited a few friends to guest on the album, such as John 5, Rob Zombie, and post-modern mentalist Kesha.

After meeting at the Grammys, Cooper brought the "Tik Tok" star onto the album as he was looking for someone to play the Devil in W2MN's narrative (which is a weird compliment). Claiming Kesha had all the qualities to be a rock star and satisfying his own taste for the unexpected, the duo recorded this disco-influenced rock bopper which would help Welcome 2 My Nightmare become Cooper's highest-charting album since 1989's Trash (the one with "Poison" on it).
