10 Rock Music Songs That Have Been Played The Most Live

7. Born To Run - Bruce Springsteen (1,802 Times)

Considering Bruce Springsteen's fabled live performances can sometimes last a number of weeks, it's amazing he hasn't played every song he's ever written at least 15,000 times live.

The Boss has been in the music business since the mid-'60s, releasing his first studio album in 1973. However, it wouldn't be until two years later that Bruce finally broke through to a mainstream audience.

His 1975 album Born to Run peaked at number 3 in the US charts, marking the Astbury Park native's first taste of real success. It would still be his best-selling record to this very day, had Born in the U.S.A not come along and blown it out of the water with the force of a neutron bomb.

Nevertheless, the album's title track remains Springsteen's most played song, beating out Thunder Road by almost 300 performances. In total, it's been played 1,802 times.

Born to Run's consistent popularity means that no Springsteen concert is complete without it, as generations of his fans have grown up with it as a soundtrack to their lives.

As for the song Born in the U.S.A., that's only been played a measly 1,041 times.
