10 Rock Singers Who Fronted Two Great Bands

7. Josh Homme

Josh Homme is best known as lead singer of Queens of the Stone Age, but aside from his main band, he has been a busy, busy guy through the years.

Formerly a founding member of stoner-rock band Kyuss, Homme has also played in the Eagles of Death Metal (as a non-touring member), as well as a supergroup project with Dave Grohl, Them Crooked Vultures.

It's Them Crooked Vultures that mark Homme's second "great" band. While only releasing one album to date (back in 2009), there's something magical about a band featuring a member of Nirvana (Grohl) alongside a member of Led Zepplin (John Paul Jones). Not to mention the fact that New Fang, the lead single from the band's eponymous album won a Grammy for Best Hard Rock Performance.

While QOTSA will always be Homme's primary act, he has proven that he can hang with the best as a frontman, which is no small feat when sharing the stage with such legendary artists.
