Jack White represents another incredibly versatile musician who is far from just a "rock singer" - but the fact remains that he does handle vocal duties for a number of projects. An extremely creative mind with a lot of output, White has done it all in his career - and that includes fronting not one but two great bands, and having a hand in several other projects.

The White Stripes is obviously the first great band White was a part of. Formed with his then wife Meg (the two publicly presented themselves as siblings for a time), the band found success with Fell in Love with A Girl, which made the group a household name. White's artsy, indie-rock persona was a breath of fresh air in the rock scene, and soon songs like Icky Thump were in heavy rotation.

However, the band (like the marriage, which ended in 2000) eventually came to an end. While the band was fizzling out, however, White was busy with The Raconteurs, a band he formed with Brendan Benson, and Jack Lawrence of The Greenhornes. Like White, all were part of the Detroit music scene. The Raconteurs would go on to put out a pair of solid albums in the mid-2000s, and had a hit with their first single, Steady As She Goes.

These days White is fronting yet another project, The Dead Weather. At this point, he can pretty much do what he wants.
