10 Rock Singers Who Fronted Two Great Bands

There are a (small, to be fair) number of singers out there who have fronted two great bands - but is there any that have fronted two bands as distinctive as Blur and Gorillaz?

Damon Albarn, of course, is the man behind - and indeed in front of - both. As the lead singer of Blur, he was an integral part of the 90s Britpop invasion, which saw the band pitted against Oasis in the press, and eventually break into the American market with Song 2 (still played at stadiums today). Albarn is also the co-creator of Gorillaz, the multi-platinum "virtual band" behind songs like Clint Eastwood, Feel Good Inc., Dirty Harry, and DARE.

While it's hard to be a "frontman" of a virtual band - you are, by definition, behind the scenes - we'll give this one to Albarn. The music and singing is all him (though there is a touring band of course), and the band simply wouldn't exist without him.

It's rare that a singer manages to head up two acts so completely different, which makes Albarn really stand out from his peers.
