It's hard to imagine Slash anywhere else except onstage with a guitar. From the moment that he burst onto the scene as the guitarist in Guns N Roses, his trademark look made him a second frontman alongside Axl Rose, with his Les Paul being an extension of his body. His charisma seemed so natural that most people didn't even know that it was out of shyness.

Though he may be able to play like a madman, Slash was always a more reserved presence when he wasn't onstage. Whereas other people may have been concerned with trashing hotel rooms and being the leader of the party, Slash was normally the one who just wanted to rock onstage and then decompress once the show was over.
