10 Rock Supergroups You Had No Idea Existed

7. Fear And The Nervous System

Now that's a name!

Fear and the Nervous System aren't some alternative-reality doo-wop group, but rather the brainchild of Korn member James "Munky" Shaffer. In 2008, he said he was working on a side project, but only in time did he reveal its stacked cast list.

Alongside Munky, the band was made up of Billy Gould from Faith No More, Brooks Wackerman of Bad Religion, Steve Krolikowski of Repeater, Leopold Ross from IO Echo, and Zac Baird, who isn't from a band because he has no friends.

That was a joke - we're sure he's a lovely man with many friends.

Limp Bizkit guitarist Wes Borland was also meant to be on the record, but his musicial contributions sadly got cut. However, he did design the very impressive artwork for the band's singular outing.

That self-titled record was released in 2012, four years after Munky first started the project. Perhaps as a result of the time it took to get this album out, the band never did anything ever again.

It's a shame, because Fear and the Nervous System had a really nice sound, really different from Korn's. Hopefully they can make a return someday.
