10 Rock Supergroups You Had No Idea Existed
6. The Wondergirls
For a band that only recorded two songs, a lot of people were involved in The Wondergirls.
You had its leader, Stone Temple Pilots' Scott Weiland. Then there was Mark McGrath of Sugar Ray, Ian Astbury of The Cult, and Thirty Seconds to Mars' Shannon Leto.
Chuck in a bunch of members from Puddle of Mudd, Failure, and Queens of the Stone Age, and you get one hell of a melting pot.
The one place you might have heard The Wondergirls' music is in the film Iron Man 3. A version of their song Let's Go All The Way appears in the movie, although it's got a very unexpcted extra voice on it.
Robbie Williams.
Never thought Take That and Puddle of Mudd would have such a strong connection.
It's not a bad song at all; a proper nineties throwback befitting of some of the members involved. Not even Robbie could ruin that.
Their other track, Drop That Baby, is also a lot of fun, so why didn't they do more? Not sure, but it might have something to do with trying to organise five million famous people to be in the same place at the same time.
