10 Rockers Who Yelled At Their Fans Onstage
8. Eddie Vedder Rescues Woman
90% of the people who attend concerts are there to have a good time. Since all of the BS that comes with day to day life can grate on you, this is the one time where we can all come together over the love of music and forget about our problems. Whereas some see this kind of crowd as one big family, people also see that crowd as an excuse to do terrible things.
During a Pearl Jam concert, some fan decided that it would be a good idea to try and assault one of the women in the general seating area, continually goading her in the crowd and trying to use the crowd as an excuse to get closer. This would be a bad move on principle, but even worse when you have someone like Eddie Vedder calling you out on it. In the middle of Lukin, Eddie brings the entire song to a halt to stop what's happening and makes sure that the fan is properly shown the door.
Ever the gentleman, Vedder also manages to get the attention of the female fan as well, making sure that she's alright before launching back into the song without missing a beat. If anything, concertgoers should just take this as a lesson: just because you're in a crowd, that doesn't give you a cover to do whatever you want.
