10 Rockers Who Yelled At Their Fans Onstage

6. Linkin Park's Safety

As much fun as metal shows can be, you have to be aware of your surroundings at all times. Even though mosh pits might be an enjoyable experience from an outsider's perspective, you need to really know what you're doing if you want to avoid getting hurt. And if you're not careful, the guys in Linkin Park were going to make sure that you were.

During their first few tours on the Hybrid Theory circuit, the band were midway through Papercut when Mike Shinoda didn't like what was going down in front of him. In the midst of the moshing, one kid went down in the crowd and wasn't being helped by anyone. Once Chester Bennington got wind of what was happening, he was having none of it, pointing to everyone in the crowd to pick the kid up and make sure that he didn't get hurt.

Even though the kid was eventually moved to safety, that wasn't enough for Chester to get by okay, taking a few more minutes to tell the crowd that they need to look out for each other and pick up anyone who might fall down in the crowd so no one got trampled. If anything, this is the litmus test that all metal bands should have at their disposal. The music might be the main draw, but nothing matters more than the safety of the fans.
