10 Rockers Who Yelled At Their Fans Onstage
5. Billy Corgan's Stage Crashing
Any fan who's even thinking about crashing the stage is going to have to hedge their bets before they actually do it. In some cases like punk clubs, crashing the stage to just stage dive is part of the trade, with someone having their little slice of fame on the stage before disappearing back into the crowd. When you're listening to a downtempo acoustic show though, that might not be the best call.
From the minute that you see The Smashing Pumpkins in this setting, you know that this is meant to be a much more intimate affair, with Billy Corgan breaking out the unplugged material and going for a mellow vibe. Apparently one fan found the lack of energy disturbing though, and decided to get up on stage in the middle of things to get his little moment with Billy.
You have to wonder what was going through the fan's mind at this point, but Corgan was not mincing words at the time. Instead of just getting security, Billy just reads the situation and tells the man to get off the stage before he gets knocked out by him. Out of all the people there that night, no one was anticipating an actual smackdown to go down. Since Billy does keeps his ears close to the ground on stuff like WWE though, you might not want to mess with him any time soon.
