10 Scariest Videos In Rock Music History

8. Dragular – Rob Zombie (1998)

Imagine the Limp Bizket Rollin' video but subtract the nu metal babes dancing behind Fred Durst and replace them with gothic rock girls, partying in front of scenes of apocalyptic destruction. To top it off, you get Rob Zombie in a pimped out goth-mobile hurtling around with a posse of demons and ghouls.

For anyone who was a young kid during the '90s, stumbling across this on MTV was an exhilarating but terrifying experience. Rob Zombie is the unholy king of all things rock and horror, and this video was monumental in introducing the world to his bizarrely humorous take on terror.

The combination of Zombie and his gang of Halloween misfits, set against all manor of disturbing imagery from classic horror movies, showed what could be done with a few colour filters, some over the top costumes and a green screen. Visually there's plenty going on, and although the initial impact is fairly terrifying, it ends up become a celebration of Halloween fun, all set to one of the most banging industrial rock tracks of the era.

The visual impact Rob Zombie created with this video and the catchy yet sinister tone of the song resulted in massive airplay on MTV, and thank god, for many this was a great way to shock your Simon & Garfunkel-listening parents.
