If youve never been to a concert before your eyes will widen when you see audience members dive over one another for a broken piece of a drum stick or a guitar pick hurled out to the crowd. It can be quite the spectacle. However, in the case of the Reading Festival in 1992, audience members were most likely diving over one another to not catch a particular souvenir. During L7s set, they started to experience some technical difficulties. The crowd, already plenty rowdy enough, were having none of it and started to let the band know just how much they werent enjoying themselves. After politely dodging some literal mudslinging, front woman Donita Sparks did either one of the coolest or most disgusting things ever, depending on how close you were to the stage. She reached down, pulled out her tampon, gave it a little rodeo twirl, and flung it at the crowd. Never a loss for words, she followed that up with: Eat my used tampon, f****rs. To this day nobody knows if anyone ever did.
