10 Song Covers In Different Genres

7. Lounge Against The Machine

The project of "Richard Cheese", (real name Mark Jonathan Davis) Lounge Against The Machine take on any genre of music and give it the sound and feel of a cheesy lounge singer.

The concept may sound bizarre but this is a band that really has to be heard to be fully appreciated. Every cover is the sort of thing that you could hear in the background without really listening to it; a sort of easy-listening muzak. Add in the vocal stylings of the man himself as he belts out the tunes in a style reminiscent of Sinatra and its only when you start to recognise lyrics that you'll realise something is amiss.

Having released more than twenty albums, no style is safe from their easy-going grasp. Rap, dance and metal have all had the lounge treatment at various points with the eponymous Rage Against The Machine and System of a Down's Toxicity being metal highlights and The Prodigy being another worth checking out.

As well as having their music featured in a number of feature films, they have further cemented their ties with Hollywood by releasing a Star Wars themed album that is an excellent listen.
