There is so much to be said for the amazing talent Jhené Aiko holds. Having featured on countless features with artists like Childish Gambino, Kendrick Lamar and Drake, the singer finally released her debut solo EP in late 2013. Teaming up with Fisticuffs - who produced tracks on her self-released mixtape a few years earlier - Aiko offered up a soulful R&B record, with various rappers who she had featured with paying back the favour.

The lead single, Bed Peace is a laid-back track, describing her idea of a perfect day. The song features Gambino, who at this stage was prepping for the release of Because the Internet, yet somehow Bed Peace managed to stay mostly off the radar. Despite its initial success, fans of the rapper quickly forgot about the track once the album dropped. Aiko went on to release three incredible full-length records, meaning the artist rarely performs the song anymore.

Aiko paid homage to the great John Lennon and Yoko Ono with the promotional material for Bed Peace. The title comes from their Bed-Ins for Peace protests against the Vietnam war, where the couple recorded Give Peace A Chance. The music video takes heavily from the aesthetic they had put together in the protest.
