10 Songs By The 1975 You've Been Sleeping On

7. Lost Boys

Before The 1975, there was 'Drive Like I Do' - one of the band's many names before they settled on their now iconic moniker - and Matty has been known to suggest that The 1975 has an expiry date before the band revert to this previous name/musical style.

An incredibly rare track that doesn't feature on any musical streaming platforms; Lost Boys was written as a homage to the legendary film of the same name and debuts many of the lyrical themes/hooks the band would come to repeat over time.

It is gut wrenching to realise this track will probably never receive the re-recording it so deserves but the band seem to have moved on from their more standard four-piece indie roots and what we have is probably all we'll ever get.

This doesn't mean we can't enjoy what we have, however, and we can continue to hope that Lost Boys might make it back onto at least a live setlist at some time in the near future.
